Why Hub Alhaya thobes are what you need to change your look?

Dubai is one of the most glamorous cities in the world. A simple walk outside shows a world that looks like a track, with sewing clothes and designer accessories abound. Many tourists who visit Dubai make him a point to do some shopping, whether he is buying threads of fast fashion or buying a handmade ornament for his arm.

Amid all this Glitz and Glam, there are still the traditional clothes of the United Arab Emirates, which many local people take us to this day. These garments are full of history and provide an interesting vision of the culture of the region. In this post, we will give you an overview of the traditional clothing of the EAU.

A Thobe is the traditional male tunic that is used in the Arabian Gulf. The use of Thobes dates back to the Middle Ages, and since then it has become the national dress of most Muslim countries. A Thawb, Thobe, or Jubbah, also known as a dishdasha or Kandura, is an Arabic ankle outfit with long sleeves that resemble a tunic or kaftan. They are available in different styles and colours, as well as several names.

The term Thobe is derived from an Arabic word, which means 'a garment'. It is often a suit of a white piece, well-ironed, that covers the male body of the neck to the ankle, shoulder to the wrist. The style of long-sleeved tunic style is usually made of silk.

Arab's men prefer to dress in white and lighter tones of silky feelings in summer because they are the freshest in the heat of the desert that encompasses. The darker, like black or brown colours, are most commonly used in the winter months and are made of thick fabric, such as cotton or viscose.

Men's National Dress Emirati

Emirati men use a long and only tunic called Dishdasha or Kandura. In Saudi Arabia, this is also called Thawb. This tends to be white since this is the greatest colour to use in the heat of the desert, but brown, black, or gray looks more in the winter months. Men can possess more than 50 Kanduras and change them regularly during the day for an always-fresh look. The Emirati version differs from the garments used in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as it is no neck and has a subtle embroidery in the sleeves.

Different styles in various regions.

Emirati clothing is a point of national pride, a symbol of the history, culture, and religion of the United Arab Emirates. If you go to the United Arab Emirates and you are wondering about the label of clothing or just curious about the Emirati National Dress, here is all you need to know.

Each country of GCC has its slight difference in dress styles. Paying attention to someone's kandura necklace and sleeves is a good way to find out where they are.

Emirati Kanduras generally lacks a necklace and includes a long and loose tassel, as well as a similar embroidery on the neck part and sleeves. This is very identical to Oman Kandura, except for the tassels that are usually shorter and colourful.

In Bahrain, the Kandura is looser and contains a soft shirt collar. Saudi Arab Kanduras, on the other hand, are mostly tighter than their Arab neighbours. Kandura in Qatar is typically brighter and has a long band necklace or even a shirt pocket.

Sometimes, Thobe is used with a Bisht, which is a coat of traditional man. The colour of a Bisht is commonly black, beige, brown, gray, or cream. A Bisht is largely used by men at the main events such as weddings, EID, or Friday, Jumuah banks. In addition, it can be used by royalty, state, wealth, or, sometimes, religious position.  Kandura is used with a ghutrah headdress made of cotton. These were traditionally used to protect the head and face of the heat from the desert and sand. A Shemagh is similar to a Ghutrah, but it is decorated with white and red checks and often becomes thicker material. Although this style originated in countries such as Saudi Arabia, nowadays, many younger Emirati men prefer the most colourful headdresses. On formal occasions, this is assured with an agile, black rope that is used once to tie the feet of a camel together at night. Under the headdress, Emirati men use a ghafiya, similar to a Muslim and very embroidered prayer hat, although hidden from sight. Other traditional items include the Fanela, a white vest that is used under the Kandura, and the woozar, underclothes tied around the waist. At festivals, significant dates, and in the presence of someone important, Men Emirati can also use Bisht, a dark cloak over the Kandora.
